Aintree: Grand National circuit, 2m2f, is flat and has big fences with drop on landing side and a long run-in. Mildmay Course, 1m3f, flat with conventional fences, is sharper than hurdles course.
Ascot: Right-handed, galloping, with stiff fences. Circuit 1m5f.
Ayr: Left-handed, mainly flat. Circuit 1m4f.
Bangor: Left-handed, sharp and flat with a long run-in. Circuit 1m4f.
Carlisle: Right-handed, undulating, stiff and galloping. Circuit 1m5f.
Cartmel: Left-handed, sharp and undulating, with stiff fences and a 4f run-in for chases. Circuit 1m.
Catterick: Left-handed, sharp and undulating, suiting handy types. Circuit 1m3f.
Cheltenham: Left-handed oval course with the last 4 furlongs uphill all the way. Fences are generally fair but the open ditches are wider than usual.
Chepstow: Left-handed and undulating. Going can be very testing. Circuit 1m7f.
Doncaster: Left-handed, galloping, generally flat. Heavy ground rare. Circuit 2m
Exeter: Right-handed and undulating. Stiff test of stamina. Circuit 2m.
Fakenham: Left-handed, sharp, undulating, suiting nippy types. Circuit 1m.
Folkestone: Right-handed, undulating oval of 1m2f.
Fontwell: Left-handed hurdle course. Tight figure-of-eight chase course does not suit long-striding gallopers. Ground can be testing. Circuit 1m.
Haydock: Left-handed, flat and galloping. Drop fences and long run-in on chase course. Old hurdle course suits gallopers; new course much sharper. Ciruit 1m5f.
Hereford: Right-handed, fairly sharp and generally flat. Suits nippy types. Circuit 1m4f.
Hexham: Left-handed, severe and undulating, placing emphasis on stamina. Circuit 1m4f.
Huntingdon: Right-handed and galloping. Circuit 1m4f.
Kelso: Left-handed and undulating. Hurdles course of 1m1f is sharp, more so than 1m 3f chase track, which has 2f run-in.
Kempton: Right handed triangular circuit 1m5f, practically flat, with 220yd run-in.
Leicester: Right-handed and undulating, placing emphasis on stamina. Circuit 1m6f.
Lingfield: Left-handed, undulating and sharp. Chase circuit 1m5f, hurdles slightly shorter.
Ludlow: Right-handed. Chase course flat with sharp bends, circuit 1m4f. Hurdles track, 150y longer, slightly undulating, with easier bends.
Market Rasen: Right-handed oval, sharp and somewhat undulating. Circuit 1m2f.
Musselburgh: Right-handed virtually flat track with sharp turns, run-in 150y. Circuit 1m3f.
Newbury: Left-handed, flat and galloping, with stiff fences. Circuit 1m7f.
Newcastle: Left-handed, with uphill finish. Going can be very testing. Circuit 1m6f.
Newton Abbot: Left-handed oval, sharp with short run-in. Circuit 1m2f.
Perth: Right-handed and flat, with tight bends. Chase course has long run-in. Circuit 1m 2f.
Plumpton: Left-handed, undulating, sharp. Circuit 1m1f.
Sandown: Right-handed with stiff uphill finish. Chase course tricky, especially for novices. Hurdles run on flat course. Circuit 1m5f.
Sedgefield: Left-handed, undulating oval, sharp bends. Chase course has easy fences and a short 250y run in. Circuit 1m2f.
Southwell: Left-handed oval, approx 1m round, with six portable fences. Run-in 220y.
Stratford: Left-handed, flat and sharp, with short finishing straight. Circuit 1m2f.
Taunton: Right-handed oval, on the sharp side with short run-in. Circuit 1m2f.
Towcester: Right-handed, with last mile uphill. Very testing. Circuit 1m6f.
Uttoxeter: Left-handed with some undulations. Circuit 1m3f.
Warwick: Left-handed, with tight turns and short run-in. Circuit 1m5f.
Wetherby: Left-handed oval, with easy bends. Circuit 1m4f.
Wincanton: Right-handed, mainly flat. A fair test. Circuit 1m3f.
Worcester: Left-handed 1m5f oval, flat with long straights and easy turns.
