Refining Your Horse Racing Betting Systems

There are so many different categories of form in horse racing, it can be difficult to know where to start when you are trying to create a betting system, let alone to then know which parts of your system are working for you and to know which parts aren't.

I think you will be surprised at how we go from a big loss at the end to a decent profit. In fact it would be very likley that the majority of people would have given up on the idea with the amount of losses but this is where the result breakdowns are invaluable!

In the end we have a system that has made a profit in every year since 2018, including up to the current time this year too.

Using the data going forward.

You now have a system that looks worth following but it's worth giving it another check, by looking at the longest losing run you have had so far and comparing this to the losing run you can expect, given the number of bets and strike rate you have.

If you know what your longest losing run has been so far, then you can use this to work out the stakes required to place on each bet.

I strongly recommend that you use the percentage staking plan when betting, where you place the same percentage of your betting bank on each bet.

If your bank total drops so do your stakes, if your bank increases so do your stakes.

The image below shows the results from another Inform Racing system where you can see the total number of win bets is 312 and the strike rate is 26.6%.

You can also see that the longest losing run or losing streak so far with this system has been 12.

Now we have these three pieces of information we can firstly check that our system is likely to be positive into the future and secondly, we can work out the correct percentage of the bank to use on each bet we have.
